The people after hearing the news of the COVID-19 vaccine arrival are too much curious about knowing each and every thing related to COVID and COWIN App. Many questions arising in people’s mind related to Covid vaccine and CoWIN application. Here we will try to understand each and everything related to vaccination and CoWIN app.
Two Corona virus vaccine (Covaxin and Covishield) have been approved by the DCGI for emergency use. There are total 1,97,201 active cases in India as per the data of Union Health Ministry taking the total cases to 1,05,95,660. Serum Institute of India and Bharat biotech are ready to supply Covid vaccine in India for the first phase which will include front line workers and the people who are above the age of 50. To foster vaccination process Central government of India has proposed an application named CoWIN. So, here are the answers to some of their questions and some latest updates like release of COWIN App.
In India with the help of COWIN app government of India and the people can monitor various things like storage of vaccines, quantity, availability and consumption of corona/COVID vaccines, priority and schedule of vaccination, temperature of storages, vaccination-centers in India, number of people served with vaccines and left to be vaccine etc. COWIN app would be going to be user friendly to government as well as the people of India to monitor and regulate the vaccines around the nation, even with all the latest status of COVID-19.
It has been heard that total 28,000 storage centers have been allotted for the COVID-19 vaccines in India and from each center it has been planned by Indian government to deliver vaccines safely to the booths/vaccination-hub for applying vaccines to near-about 100 people every day initially, that could be further extended and the massive heard date to initiate the vaccination procedure in India is nearly “13-15 Jan 2021”. The vaccination procedure designed by the government of India is classified to select the priority of communities with the parameters like the Doctors, medical staffs and health management staff will be going to stand in the first to the queue of vaccination, then after the healthcare staff, the community of people providing essential services, then the community of old people having age more than 50/60 and then further on the basis of severity and high-risks the communities will be classified. The details you can find easily on the COWIN app as it has been designed to monitor even corona victim community’s scales also.
The vaccines that have been approved in India are the AstraZeneca (Covishield) by Oxford that is manufacturing in India by Serum Institute of India and the other one is COVAXIN by Indian company Bharat Biotech only, that recently got approval by the Government of India. Here COWIN app will help to circulate the vaccines in a uniform quantity to dedicated centers and will create a transparency in the vaccine distribution and maintenance of the storage. Also it has been heard that the each and every storage have temperature sensors that will monitor the temperature of vaccines as we all know that the vaccines are temperature dependent and made to be stored in cool places. So, for any type of failure in temperature, utility equipment, power fluctuation, sensor failure etc. will be easily monitored by the COWIN app to keep the vaccines safe and undamaged in the storages. Government of India is trying to get the total monitoring implementations to be on the COWIN app and the every activity would be planned on the platform to take the actions immediately.
Now the other important part of the vaccination is the cost of vaccine shots that every citizen having as question in mind. As heard recently the Central Health Minister Mr. Harsh Vardhan stated that “people will be going to get the vaccine shots free by the Government of India” and we appreciate our health minister for his declaration. But as per the sources it has been heard that per shot price of COVID-19 vaccine would be near-about ₹250-₹350 beard by Indian government, if Indian Government purchases from vaccine manufacturing companies. Else it would be near-about ₹1000 per shot of COVID vaccine, if any private company/hospital purchases it from the vaccine companies. So, it’s an advice to the people of India that not to panic regarding the vaccination procedure as the Indian Government is properly working on the plan and help the government by keeping patience and get your vaccines as per the planned scheduled by the government authorities.
There is also an amazing feature of the COWIN app has been heard that it will also generate the immunization certificate to the dedicated person with his name on completion of proper vaccination when no shots will remain to be applied. The User can store/save the generated certificate of immunization. This COWIN app will help the user to guide and inform about the respective booth/center of vaccination according to the location, COVID vaccine schedule and might be the doctor/person responsible to apply COVID vaccine. COWIN app will provide the live updates/status of COVID-19 vaccination to regulate the number of doses and the number of people getting doses with real time, location and date.
