Atal Bihari Vajpayee, India’s former Prime Minister was born on Dec-25-1924 in Gwalior(M.P.). His life span was 93 years i.e. from 25-Dec-1924 to 16-Aug-2018. He was the first head of government who wasn’t a part of “Indian National Congress” party, he was a leader of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). Apart from being an efficient Prime Minister, he was an effective poet and writer too. He is also known for his great decisions and work as well as  he was a good speaker too. With an excellent communication skills, Atalji was the person with less opposition from the opposite parties when he was chosen as Prime Minister of India. He was supported and respect from all the political parties which shows the dignity of such an amazing personality. Atal Bihari Vajpayee received the highest civilian honor i.e. BHARAT RATNA, (on 27 Mar 2015 by the corresponding president Mr. Pranab Mukherjee). He marked himself in everybody’s heart with his motivational and inspirational poems that always enlightens the path to people. So, let’s peep briefly into the deeds of this famous personality Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

1)Pokharan-II Nuclear test: In 1998, the Indian Government successfully tested nuclear energy under the supervision of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the program was named as Pokhran-II, that declares the nuclear empowerment of India among the world.

2)Idea of common tax: The one single common tax for each goods and service was first proposed by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee only and even he created a committee to design the structure for the idea and it took near-about 17 years after his idea and then from year 2017, GST has been implemented to Indian economy.

3)Sarv Sikhsha Abhiyaan: Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee conducted a program named “Sarv Sikhsha Abhiyaan”, that is, free and compulsory education to all, each and every child of every section should go to school was the motto of this program. This decision really enhanced the literacy rate in India.

4)Asian foreign policy: Atal Bihari Vajpayee also worked on foreign policies to let the external companies of Asian and east Asian countries invest in India and that decision leads to enhance the foreign exchanges and assets that helped Indian economy and employment to grow up to some good extents.

5)Telecom Policy 1999: Atal Bihari Vajpayee took some essential steps for the telecommunication department in 1999, that is under his governance he introduced new telecom policy that leads to make the call rates cheaper and made external telecom companies to invest and plan in India with only 15% revenue sharing to Government of India. Also he organized BSNL as Indian Government Telecom Company in 2000 as well as TDSAT to look-after the disputes in telecom sectors even including TRAI. This bold decision really created a revolution in telecom industry an as a result the no. of telephone and wireless phone connections grew enormously that time.

6)Connecting India: Connecting India was initiated by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, where he organized various programs to connect the whole India via roads and introduced plans like Golden Quadrilateral (to connect 4 major metro cities of India) , PMGSY(Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana to connect every village with all-time weather tolerant roads) and many other highway projects.

7)Fiscal Responsibility & Budget Management Act: Atal Bihari Vajpayee introduced FRBM to Indian Government and also appointed an organization to look into the issues of Fiscal Deficit like the recovery, calculation, disputes, fund cycle monitoring etc. to ensure and manage the proper finances and budgets along with the annual expenditures of the country.
